1863: Founding of the company "Otto Steinbeis / Consorten" in Brannenburg, Bavaria. Otto Steinbeis and Consorten became a constantly growing and world-wide operating enterprise.

1946: Founding of the company "Zweckform" in Oberlaindern, Bavaria. Beginning of the production of printed forms and transfer copying books

1958: Beginning of the production of self-adhesive labels by Zweckform, at first as a licensee of the U.S. company Avery

1979: New erection of a plant for adhesive labels by Zweckform in Holzkirchen, Bavaria

1981: Market introduction of a new battery label as replacement for the common steel casing by Zweckform

1982: Start-up of the plant at Holzkirchen and installation of the labeling production-line

1986: Separation of the Zweckform-divisions by selling off the subsidiaries Zweckform Büroprodukte GmbH (office products) and Zweckform Etikettiertechnik (labeling technology)

1993: Opening of another plant of Zweckform Etikettiertechnik (labeling technology) in Meerane, Saxony, Germany

1999: Joint venture between Avery Dennison and Zweckform Büroprodukte GmbH (office products).
Restructuring and renaming of Zweckform Etikettiertechnik GmbH to Steinbeis Packaging Group.

2000: Acquisition of the battery label business from National Label Company and foundation of Steinbeis Packaging LLC in Philadelphia, USA

2005: Takeover by CCL Industries Inc. and renaming to CCL Label GmbH
